Natural plant fibers like bamboo, rattan, seagrass, and water hyacinth are inherently resilient and durable, having withstood tropical monsoons and sunshine. With minimal, thoughtful care, your handcrafted Anandhis Art treasures will last for decades and develop an even richer golden patina over time.
Natural woven textures have crevices where household dust can settle. We recommend dusting your baskets, lampshades, and wall decor every couple of weeks using a soft dry paintbrush, a feather duster, or the soft brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner on low suction. For deeper cleans, gently wipe down the fibers with a soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water and a drop of mild Castile soap. Never submerge raw woven items in water or use harsh chemical detergents.
While natural fibers appreciate a touch of ambient moisture (which prevents brittleness), prolonged dampness or continuous water pooling can promote mold. If your bathroom basket or planter gets wet, simply place it in a well-ventilated, sunny area until completely dry. If surface mildew ever appears due to extreme humidity, wipe the affected area with a solution of 1 part white distilled vinegar to 4 parts water, then dry thoroughly in open sunshine.
Direct, unfiltered south-facing sunlight over multiple years will naturally mellow fiber tones, transitioning bright green seagrass into warm golden wheat and deepening honey rattan into rich amber. This natural aging process is an intentional hallmark of authentic organic decor. If you wish to minimize color change, rotate floor planters and trays periodically.
Because our seagrass and water hyacinth baskets are supple, they may occasionally arrive slightly flattened from compact packaging. To restore their perfect rounded shape, lightly mist the exterior with clean water from a spray bottle, reshape the basket with your hands from the inside outward, and let it dry overnight with a blanket or pillow stuffed inside. It will dry in its original majestic form.
Natural botanical fibers are hygroscopic—meaning they naturally interact with ambient humidity levels in your home. Understanding this natural breathability allows you to keep your woven creations in showroom condition throughout all four seasons:
For interior designers, boutique hoteliers, restaurant proprietors, and architectural consultants, our dedicated trade concierge provides end-to-end bespoke service. From material specification sheets and fire-retardant botanical spray certifications for commercial installations to custom dimensional adaptations, we accommodate demanding project scopes.
Whether you require twenty matching fluted rattan pendant lights for a farm-to-table coastal bistro or seventy woven storage crates for an eco-luxury spa resort, our direct cooperative pipeline bypasses third-party importer delays. Simply contact our trade team at contact@anandhisartllc.site with your project deadlines, drawings, and tax exemption certificates to receive our trade catalog and volume pricing schedules.
Woven handcrafted treasures represent the warmth, strength, and interwoven bonds of shared life—making them the ideal gift for weddings, housewarmings, and holiday celebrations. Every gift set purchased through Anandhis Art is packaged in plastic-free, recyclable craft boxes nestled in crinkle paper and bound with organic cotton ribbon. If you wish to include a custom handwritten parchment note for the recipient, simply input your message into the Order Notes field during checkout, and our California atelier staff will personally handwrite your message on botanical textured paper.
